FHN-FHS-FHA self-clinching studs are installed by placing them into the appropriate size holes in the sheets and tightening them into place with a standard press. The crimping process places the head of the stud into the sheet metal. The metal displaced from the head side is placed smoothly and evenly around the ribs and into the annular groove, forming a recessed head assembly and securely locking the stud to the sheet with high torque and thrust resistances.
