AC type press nuts provide load bearing threads on thin sheet metal thanks to their locking and non-locking threads and allow adjustment up to 0.76mm even if the mating hole is misaligned. The self-clamping feature ensures quick and simple assembly. Fasteners are clamped into prepared holes using any standard press. One side of the sheet remains flush and the fastener is permanently locked in place. Extra strength and support in assembly is achieved by the threads of the floating nut extending fully into the retainer shaft. Thread locking torque performance is equivalent to current NASM25027 specifications.
