CAGE NUT

PDF İndir

Cage nut consists of a nut in a spring steel cage surrounding the nut. When the cage is squeezed, the cage has two blades that allow it to be attached to square holes, for example, on the mounting rails of the equipment racks. When the flaps are released, they hold the nut behind the hole. The square hole cage nut can be used wherever the square hole can be drilled.

Using cage nuts offers several advantages over threaded holes. Long after the equipment is manufactured, it allows the selection of a range of nut and bolt sizes in the field. Second, if a screw is over-tightened, it can be replaced by a peeled screw hole, which, unlike a screwed, screwed hole, becomes unusable. Third, cage nuts are easily applied to very fine or soft-toothed materials.

The nut is usually slightly loose in the cage to make minor adjustments to the alignment. This reduces the likelihood of peeling the teeth during installation and removal of the equipment. The dimensions of the spring steel clip determine the panel thickness at which the nut can be shortened. In square hole cage nuts, the clip dimensions determine the range of hole sizes that the clip will hold the nut tightly to.

The cage consists of a spring steel cage that holds the square nut inside the nut. The cage holds the wings firmly in the square hole. It enables quick and easy assembly on one side of the panel. Allows the use of hand tools.
The cage nut provides the traditional benefits of flexible, wide-use, self-retaining fasteners. It is high strength and can be applied without the need for a second treatment.
All metric measurements are commonly used. Other dimensions can be made by special order.
Some applications are;

  • Rack cabinets
  • Electrical Equipment
