Clamped studs are installed by inserting them into appropriately sized holes in the sheet metal and tightening them into place with any standard press. The tightening process involves inserting the stud head into the sheet metal. The metal, cut from the head, is evenly and evenly placed around the ribs and into the ring-shaped groove, creating a countersunk head pattern. This securely locks the stud into the sheet metal with high torque and thrust resistance. HFH (heavy-duty) studs replace weld studs, offering easier installation at lower costs. The large stud in the sheet metal distributes the axial clamping force over a wider area, increasing pull-out resistance. HFHB (heavy-duty BUSBAR®) studs are ideal for superior electrical/mechanical connection applications. Phosphor bronze studs offer twice the conductivity of carbon steel studs. HFH and HFHS types are designed for high-strength applications in thin sheet metal.
