PEM® self-clinching studs are assembled by inserting them into appropriately sized holes in the sheets and tightening them in place with any standard press. The crimping action places the head of the stud into the sheet metal. The metal displaced from the head side is neatly and evenly arranged around the ribs and into the annular groove, forming a flush head assembly and securely locking the stud to the sheet with high torque output and thrust resistances.
FHL studs are installed closer to the edge of the sheet than FH/FHS studs and do not cause the edge to swell.
